Evening excursion in the company of an astronomer to catch the lunar eclipse and discover the constellations
A beautiful summer evening among rural hamlets and farms in the shadow of Monte San Primo, and then… you take off your boots and embrace your telescope to admire the Moon rising eclipsed with a reddish hue.
From Pian del Tivano we walk through farms, woods and clearings along a path known to few! We climb up to Braga di Cavallo, then descend to the Piani, completing a really nice loop! We will be near a bar-restaurant where we wait for the moon to rise around 8.30 p.m., still eclipsed. It will come out of totality at 20.50. Around that time it gets dark and we observe the constellations, then around 21.00 gradually the Moon comes out of totality 🌝 and we can observe the part in penumbra. We finish around 9.30 p.m.
