2 days at Pian delle Betulle, cable car ride up from Margno, accommodation at Baitock (heated rooms with en-suite bathrooms), a delicious dinner, and snowshoe walks in the afternoon and at night!
We’ll come across a small, old-fashioned grocery shop where we can buy our packed lunch (not included) and enjoy a sandwich together whilst admiring the mountains.
From here, it’s a 5-minute walk tothe Baitock Hotel, where we’ll be staying in rooms sleeping 4 or 5 (some with double beds). The rooms areheatedand have en-suitebathrooms.
This afternoon we’ll go on a snowshoe hike up towardsAlpeOrtigheraand Lares Brusàa.(1.5 hours)
We head back to the hotel where we can treat ourselves to a well-deserved shower. At 7.00 pm we go down for dinner. The Baitock is renowned for its traditional dishes and local produce.
At around 8.30 pm, we get ready for a night-time snowshoe walk. Wrapped up warm, we set off across the snow through Pian delle Betulle and then head down the easy mule track towards Alpe di Paglio (1.5 hours).
We return to the hotel at around 10.00 pm to enjoy a good night’s sleep.
The following morning: breakfast, followed by an optional walk to Cima del Laghetto.
Return by cable car to Margno at 12.00.
