A day full of emotions… the thrill of pedalling on the E-bike, the adventure of discovering a huge cave and an aperitif on a panoramic balcony!
Once in a lifetime you have to visit that huge cave called Buco del Piombo, it seems like a great idea to reach it on a pedal-assisted bicycle! If you have never tried it, don’t worry, can you ride a bike? No problem with the e-bike, just a lot less effort!
At the meeting point, the use of the bike will be explained to you. Helmet on head and off we go! We cross Canzo and soon find a cycle path along the Lambro. We reach the splendid Sanctuary of the Madonna di S. Calogero, past Ponte Lambro the asphalted climb begins (no problem with the bike!) until the road flattens out and becomes dirt (wide, beaten earth, simple).
When we reach the famous Buco del Piombo cave, we leave our bikes, put on our caving helmets and headlamps, and head inside this enormous cavity. Our guide Tomaso will tell us many interesting facts about the vicissitudes of this place, from Neanderthal man to thecave bear, from a fort in the early Middle Ages to the present day.
It is lunchtime, and in a few minutes we reach Trattoria l’Alpina where Tiziana prepares an aperitif of platters, cheese and wine . We also recommend bringing a packed lunch if you are hungry!
We return to the starting point in a loop.

What to bring: rucksack, clothing suitable for the weather, for those who have them, cycling shorts with flaps (not essential)
