We climb to the top of Pizzo dei 3 Signori (2,554 m) with a beautiful hike along the northern slope
We set off from Laveggiolo above Gerola Alta, a wonderful little village, where there is the museum/shop of the ‘Storico Ribelle’, the legendary Bitto cheese produced in the alpine pastures according to a centuries-old tradition.
Theclimb is beautiful and very varied, a path through the woods crossing a stream, then a cart track that crosses the pastures of Trona Soliva with the refuge of the same name and the cheesemaker who makes cheese on the alp. We still climb above Hell Lake and here we are at the FALC refuge, a tiny jewel among the mountains. Here we are now in the realm of the rocks, which form a labyrinth crossed by our path.
A last stretch of some twenty metres is facilitated by a small chain, and here we are at the top. We enjoy the view of what used to be three ‘kingdoms’: the Duchy of Milan, the Serenissima Republic and the Swiss Grisons. A bite to eat and off we go, calmly descending past alpine huts and pastures.
Back in Gerola Alta, before heading back, we deserve a piece of cheese and some rye bread.

COSTS AND TIMETABLE: cost € 20 . Meeting point at the GALLI EZIO car park in via Fiandra 15 in Lecco at 7.30 am. From there with a few cars in about 1 hour we reach Laveggiolo, hamlet of Gerola Alta (SO)
WHAT TO BRING: Hiking shoes, clothing suitable for the altitude (it can get cold) rucksack, large water bottle, there is no water in the final stretch of the route. Do not hesitate to contact us for any clarification. PACKED LUNCH
