A little-known but beautiful route, the two faces of our territory, craggy mountains and placid waters.
An unforgettable walk along the western shore of Lake Como, as in the Grand Tour of the Belle Epoque, a hundred years ago for a select few. Walking between the lake and picturesque villages: Acquaseria, Santa Maria, Nobiallo with the scenic Madonna della pace, Rezzonico and its castle, Pianello and the Museo della Barca Lariana and others.
Menaggio, this is where our walk begins, between the lake and sumptuous villas, between gardens and castles, we will walk along footpaths and ancient mule tracks, the little-known Via Regina, centuries ago the only connecting route on this side of the lake, today reserved for us path explorers .
We begin with the only real ascent up the rocky Sasso Rancio, admiring below us Villa La Gaeta ( known for some scenes in the film Casino Royale), followed by Villa Camilla and RezzonicoCastle , and then descend to Cremia. From beach to beach we reach Pianello del Lario, our destination . But it’s not over yet, because a splendid cruise awaits us ; by waterways we placidly return to Menaggio.

LENGTH: approx. 15 km DURATION: approx. 4.5 h walking time, return at 5 p.m. to Menaggio
MEETING POINT: 9.30 a. m. in Menaggio (CO), info for meeting point and possible car sharing will follow
Cost: 20 € + 4.60 € for the Boat Cruise
What to bring: hiking boots, water, backpack, clothing suitable for the weather, possible clothing for a bath. PACKED LUNCH
