Flowers and gardens in the most romantic place in the world!
People from all over the world come here to admire the unique landscape of this lake, which is why, along the way, we won’t miss a small but incredible museumdedicated precisely to the landscape! A Grand Virtual Tour among old prints, films and photographs that tell us about one of the most romantic places in the world. We take a break with a sandwich and a glass of wine in the ancient lakeside garden of Villa Meyer and are ready for the short walk along the greenway with a view of the lake that leads us to the highlight of our day.
Villa Carlotta in March reveals its most secret beauty with the first blooms. Gardeners are at work amidst the first enraptured tourists. Camellias, azaleas , and seasonal flowers. It is still a quiet time to walk the length and breadth of this precious botanical site: citrus gallery , arboreal rhododendrons, bamboo forest, but also the ancient olive grove and the villa’s vegetable gardens. Obviously, we cannot fail to take a look at the Sommariva collection inside the building, marvels of neoclassical art and signs left by the owners of this prestigious mansion on the Lario, Calmly we enjoy every corner of this marvel! A few kilometres, but so much beauty. A well-deserved stop for an affogato or a coffee in the ancient greenhouse and it’s time to head back (well, those with a little more money to spend could enjoy spending a night in the neighbouring Grand Hotel Tremezzo… but maybe next time!)

MEETING POINT: 9.30 a.m. at the GRAN MERCATO supermarket car park (lake side bar) in Via Sebenico in Como (hamlet of Tavernola). Park in the elevated car park next door. From there it takes a few cars about 40 minutes to reach Tremezzina.
Cost: 20 € for guide accompaniment + 22.50 € for the 2 entrance tickets: Villa Carlotta Gardens and Museum and Museo del Paesaggio (if the group exceeds 15 people the entrance fee will be reduced)
