2 days at Pian delle Betulle, ascent by cable car from Margno, accommodation at Baitock (Heated Rooms with Bath) Exquisite Dinner, Afternoon and Night Snowshoeing!
A small old-fashioned grocery shop awaits us where we can buy our packed lunch (not included) and eat a sandwich together while admiring the mountains.
From here in 5 minutes we are at theBaitock Hotel, accommodation in rooms with 4/5 beds (some with double beds). The rooms are heated and have a bathroom.
In the afternoon we will take a snowshoe hike up to Alpe Ortighera and Lares Brusà a. (1.5h)
We return to the hotel where we can take a well-deserved shower. At 19.00 we go down for dinner. The Baitock is renowned for its cuisine of traditional dishes and local products.
Around 8.30 p.m. we prepare for a night-time snowshoe hike. Well covered, we tramp through the snow across Pian delle Betulle and then descend on the comfortable mule track to Alpe di Paglio (1.5h).
We return to the hotel by about 10 p.m., to allow ourselves the sleep of the righteous.
The following morning breakfast, walk to Pian delle Betulle, return by cable car to Margno by 12 noon.
