A gentle walk with breathtaking views of Lake Como, a sunset, stargazing through a telescope and a delicious dinner!
Monte Legnoncino offers one of the most beautiful views of Lake Como. We’ll head up there in the afternoon so we can enjoy the changing light, the blue sky warming up with the colours of the sunset, twilight, and the ultramarine blue as the sky fills with stars! We’ll be joined by an expert stargazer who’ll show us the constellations, the planet Saturn and distant galaxies, using a telescope and other astronomical instruments!
From the meeting point, we make a brief stop at the Roccoli Lorla mountain hut for a coffee break; with only a slight climb, we reach the summit. The view stretches out to an extraordinary360-degree panoramaencompassing lakes, valleys and the main Alpine peaks of Lombardy. We savour this marvellous sight, with colours that brighten and fade as dusk falls. We descend along an easy track, reaching a small lake near the car park, just a short walk from the refuge (where we can pop in for a hot cup of tea!). Here, a new experience begins: observing the moon, the constellations, and a few other treats that I don’t want to give away just yet! Afterwards, for those who wish, we’ll have dinner at the mountain hut, which has an excellent reputation!

MEETING POINT: 1.30 pm, Galli Ezio, Via Fiandra, 15, 23900 Lecco LC. From here, we’ll carpool and head to the Roccoli Lorla (1-hour drive)
