The heat of summer brings us back to the water, and then nothing could be more beautiful than paddling in a kayak on turquoise green waters surrounded by imposing mountains.
For this experience we take you to the most beautiful lake we know in our area: Mezzola.
The colour of the water is truly unique and the absence of wind during the morning is just what is needed to paddle it safely. An easy paddle even for beginners.
We row to a small beach near the Mera River, moor our boats and walk a few minutes to the impressive 10th-century Temple of San Fedelino.
We will provide you with kayaks (single or double depending on availability), paddles and life jackets and show you how to use them. We will leave our belongings safely on the shore at the ‘Da Gianni’ kiosk where a good aperitif will be waiting for us on our return!
Meet at Chiosco da Gianni Via Lungolago, 23025 Campo Mezzola, Novate SO at 9.15 am. Find free parking here in front of the sports field and walk 10 minutes.
Those who prefer can meet in Lecco at Ezio Galli’s at 8.15 a.m. and go up together.
For those coming by train, get off at Verceia Station and walk 7 minutes to the kiosk.
We will do 2 hours of kayaking, have lunch around 12.30 . By 13.30 you can return or stop at the little beach, which is very nice for relaxing, sunbathing and swimming!

What to bring for the excursion :
On your feet I recommend sandals or flip-flops or rock shoes (it’s a five-minute walk into the woods, you can do it easily) . You can wear a swimming costume or at least clothes that don’t get you a bit wet, then bring a change of clothes for when we go out. A scarf hat to protect your head and sun cream.
