when for the first time I looked over the hill and Lake Saoseo materialised before my eyes, I was astonished… I had never admired such beauty
One of the most beautiful lakes in the entire Alpine chain, in the Val do Camp in Switzerland, surrounded by dense larch trees that dress in gold in autumn, a turquoise and emerald green jewel reflects a backdrop of snow-capped peaks in its waters.
From the car park at Sfazù, we follow a cart track through pastures, huts, cottages and larch forests in their most beautiful, autumn colours; looking up at majestic peaks sprinkled with snow. We enter the forest along a path, and in about 2 hours’ walk through an amphitheatre of peaks and larches, a turquoise-coloured pool of water appears , reflecting the surrounding peaks and forests, the green of the firs and the yellow of the larches.
We have lunch in contemplation of such beauty, and on the way back we follow the mule track past the Saoseo refuge, meadows and huts, making a loop.

MEETING POINT: 8.00 a. m. at Ezio Galli in via Fiandra 15 in Lecco from there with a few cars we go up to Sfazù in Poschiavo

What to bring: hiking boots, water, backpack, clothing suitable for the weather. PACKED LUNCH
