The Viandante or Wayfarer’s path is an ancient scenic path offering splendid views of Lake Como passing through picturesque villages, quaint courtyards, mountain churches, terraces with vineyards and olive trees.
Schedule for the day: hiking Varenna-Bellano
We begin by visiting Varenna, a splendid village among its narrow streets and lakefront, and then climb to the village of Vezio, dominated by its medieval castle. Well-deserved stops will allow us to contemplate and photograph these breathtaking landscapes. We visit the beautiful medieval Vezio castle, learning its history.

What to bring for the Varenna-Bellano hike:
Hiking shoes or hiking boots, if you don’t have bring comfortable sport shoes (or ask us we have some hiking shoes you can borrow), water, packed lunch. Optional: trekking poles, rain and wind protection.
NB: Several water fountains will be found along the trail where you can fill your water bottle.
