A splendid loop that invites us to discover the rich Tartano Valley
The Orobie Valtellinesi are still wild mountains, lands of grouse and wolves. Val Tartano can be reached from civilisation by a winding road, but going beyond the famous footbridge, the mountains retain a solitary charm. Charm that attracts those who are willing to walk a little and adapt. There are no fewer than four bivouacs in the valley, which are actually beautiful little self-managed shelters. We visit the first , the Gusmeroli bivouac: a splendid refitted hut with 6 beds on planks, always open. A wonderful stopping point to have a nice coffee on the wood-burning stove.
Come and discover this magical place at the foot of Mount Torrenzuolo or ‘del vento’, a little-known but fascinating peak that is climbed by those who want to follow the tracks of the numerous chamois that live here. You will want to return to these places, I promise we will do so soon….
And they even come from abroad to visit these places! Take a look at this winter VIDEO!
