Epic Experience! 2 Days at Pian delle Betulle, Cable Car ascent from Margno , accommodation at Baitock (Heated Rooms with Bath) Exquisite Dinner, Afternoon and Night Snowshoeing!
PROGRAM:
Meet in Margno (LC) at the Parking lot under the Piazzale della Funivia, 1, 23832 Margno LC Saturday, January 28 at 1:30 pm.
From here by cable car we will ascend to Pian dell Betulle.
We will immediately reach a small grocery store where we can buy our packed lunch (not included) and eat a sandwich together.
From here in 5 min. we arrive at the Baitock hotel , room accommodation (3 quads + 3 doubles + 2 twins). The rooms are heated and equipped with bathrooms.
In the afternoon we will take a snowshoe hike going up to Alpe Ortighera and Lares Brusà a. (1.5h)
We return to the hotel where we can indulge in a well-deserved shower; at 7 p.m. we go down for dinner. The Baitock is renowned for its cuisine of traditional dishes and local products.
Around 8:30 p.m. we get ready for a Night Snowshoeing. Well covered, we go tramping through the snow crossing Pian delle Betulle and then descend on the comfortable mule track to Alpe di Paglio (1.5h).
We return to the hotel by about 10 p.m. to allow ourselves the sleep of the righteous.
The following morning Breakfast, walk to Pian delle Betulle, return by cable car to Margno for 12 noon.
WHAT TO BRING:
Heavy clothing (windbreaker, tights, gloves, cap, scarf)
Essential: Trekking Poles
Head flashlight for night snowshoeing.
