The heat of July invites you to seek the freshness of the streams that flow down from our Grigne
We walk and … swim to discover the Meria and Val Mala streams. Rocks of all shapes and colours worked by the water, crystal-clear pools, waterfalls and cascades, lush vegetation, a forest of yews.
Partly on footpath and partly by foot in the water, we explore the first part of this magnificent canyon that rises from the lake and then continues up to the Era huts and further up to the dolomite peaks of the Grigne.
Ours will be avery ‘bathing’ excursion, alternating between ascents in boots and refreshing swims in cool pools. One of my favourite summer trips.
DEVELOPMENT: + 450 m
LENGTH: 8 km approx.
MEETING POINT: 9.00 am at the GALLI EZIO car park in via Fiandra 15 in Lecco. From there with a few cars we reach Somana di Mandello in about 15 minutes (few parking spaces)
Cost: 20 €
What to bring: Hiking shoes, creek sandals! (there are specific technical ones, but classic rock sandals are also fine ) swimming costume, towel, rucksack, water bottle. . PACKED LUNCH
Difficulty level: mountain trails with some sections with chains. YOU CAN ALSO WALK IN THE WATER
