See Lake Como like no other. Como-Bellagio, an epic journey along the ridge that connects the two pearls of the lake. A strategic vantage point for the best views, and the personal satisfaction of doing it on foot!

Difficulty: Not technically difficult, requires some level of fitness to walk that distance.

Day 1.

From Como we ascend to Brunate by Funicular (cost included), we will then start walking at 715 mslm. From Brunate along comfortable mule-track we pass Baita Carla, Baita Bondella , Baita Boletto Fabrizi, Monte Bolletto. from here, we cross the cool and impressive Sentiero dei Faggi with its centuries-old trees to Bocchetta di Lemna, where the trail becomes a mule-track again, to our evening stop, Rifugio Riella (1275 mslm). After a well-deserved rest, we will deposit our backpacks and those who wish can climb to the summit of Palanzone (1436 mslm). The 360° panoramic view will allow you to see both branches of Lake Como and Lecco, the mountains of the Larian Triangle, as well as the lakes of Brianza. Dinner, Wine, Chatting, Laughter, and well-deserved rest at the Refuge.

Day 2

After a Good Breakfast, from Rifugio Riella we continue on Mulattiera, first uphill and then lose some altitude descending on trail to Colma di Sormano (1100m). Second Breakfast a must given the goodness of the cakes available. Still on mule track we will climb to Alpe Spessola (1237 mslm), and Alpe di Terrabiotta (1536 mslm) where we will enjoy a sublime view of Bellagio and the three branches of Lake Como. Depending on the time available we will see whether to give the option to climb to Monte San Primo (1672 mslm) or enjoy our Lunch at Sacco (we can ask the Refuge to prepare sandwiches for us) and then descend towards Bellagio. Here again we will have multiple route options, depending on the time available and the strength in our legs we could opt for Mount Nuvolone (1085 mslm) or stay lower.

From Bellagio via Battello we return to Como along the entire Comasco branch, comfortably seated dreaming of the period villas that decorate the lakeshore. Checking with the summer sailing schedule we consider returning to Como around 9 p.m. by boat (cost included).
