Among the most iconic views of Lake Como, a few minutes from Lecco, a loop on the Moregallo trails between the monumental Sasso Preguda and San Tomaso.
a medium demanding hike with some slightly exposed spots and steep climbs in places.
We cross Valmadrera and take a path through the forest and views that will lead us to Sasso di Preguda.
We will encounter the ‘casote’, examples of rural architecture of the past, ancient shepherds’ shelters characteristic of these areas.
Once in Preguda, a well-deserved stop with an iconic view of the lake! Here we find a small church built on an erratic boulder!
From here along a scenic loop trail, we reach the Sambrosera spring where we continue the traverse to San Tomaso and descend along a mule track to Valmadrera.
