A cycle ride across flat countryside along the cycle path around Lake Garlate.
It’s been ages since you last got on your bike; you’d love to go for a carefree ride, but is it… just too much hassle?!?
Relax, we’ll take care of everything! You can hire a bike on the spot; we’ll cycle along cycle paths away from the traffic, and it’s all flat! We’ll cycle a loop around Lake Garlate. Yes, exactly where Renzo and Lucia set off on their legendary escape from Lecco!
At the meeting point, we’ll adjust the bike to suit your height, remind you how to use it and take you on a short test ride. If you’re bringing your own bike, we’ll help you unload it from your car 🙂 We’ll cycle through the villages of Chiuso, Vercurago, Calolzio, Olginate, Garlate and Pescarenico, with stunning views of the mountains, cycling along narrow lanes and through little squares that take us back in time!
We’ll stop for a snack by the lake; you can buy a sandwich at the ‘ciringuito’ or bring one from home.

What to bring: a water bottle, a rucksack, and clothing suitable for the weather. Cycling trousers if you already have them. A helmet will be provided if you hire a bike.
