The enchantment of the Alpine landscapes, nature creating perfect scenes, two marvellous lakes
Words are superfluous; certain wonders must be seen with one’s own eyes – no photograph or video can do justice to a beauty that borders on perfection.
We are in the Engadine, at the Maloja Pass. This is where our circular route begins, through coniferous forests and along paths fragrant with larch, fir and mountain pine. We reach Lake Bitabergh, a little-visited gem nestled between imposing rock faces and gentle green foliage. We continue through the woods to Lake Cavloc, climb up to the promontory for a panoramic view, then head down to admire its waters along the shore. After a lunch break, we make our way back along an easy cart track, our eyes filled with beauty!
