A splendid mountain with an incomparable panorama.
If you have never been there, now is the time to go up! And if you already know the place, you will certainly return. It is truly the mountain of wonders, rich and varied like few places. It is accessible, but hides lesser-known and little-visited sides. We set off on a level path heading east to enjoy the panorama of the Varrone Valley from Alpe Chiaretto
. Then they begin to traverse the north-eastern slope of the mountain and we start to climb, so we warm up a little. Fir woods and rhododendron bushes along the blueberry path. There is usually snow here on the ascent to the summit from the north side!
Here we are at the summit, useless to talk about the panorama because on this hike the view of lake and mountains never leaves us, from the Legnone massif to the placid waters of the Lario. We descend by traversing on the south side to the bucolic Alpe Chiaro and continue on to the well-known Giumello giant bench. Excellent ride…. time for a hot chocolate on the spot and back in!

LENGTH: 7 km approx. DURATION: 3.00 h walking approx. Return approx. at 4 p.m.
MEETING POINT: 9.00 a. m. at Ezio Galli in via Fiandra 15, Lecco. From there with a few cars in about 1 h we reach Alpe Giumello.
Cost: 20 €
What to bring: High boots, water, rucksack, clothing suitable for the weather, poles recommended. If there will be snow crampons (if you don’t have them we rent them) and useful gaiters. PACKED LUNCH
